This workshop aims to initiate teachers to the field of paper circuits. This is a STEAM (Integrating Science, Technology, Engineering , Mathematics and Art) workshop, during which teachers are being introduced to the basic concepts of electronics and how to apply them to paper based design projects. The workshop include an introduction to electronics theory and teachers will engage in discussion regarding project based learning, its application in the classroom and how to develop appropriate assessment methodologies. This workshop is designed to help beginners get going with paper circuits. Targeted concepts are Project Based Learning, Design Thinking, Computational thinking and Integrated Learning.
The hands-on workshop Arte, tecnología y educación creativa is taught in the course: “Science, culture and participation” organizated by Antonio Lafuente García. The summer courses of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, in collaboration with the Menéndez Pelayo International University. The purpose of these courses is to help improve the professional skills of teachers through pedagogical, scientific and didactic updating; The understanding of the different dimensions involved in education and the exchange of experiences and good practices that favors any meeting of teachers.
