This hands-on workshop serves as an introduction to the new creative possibilities offered by electronic textiles applied to the domestic and personal. During the workshop, we will look at conductive fabrics, basic circuits and simple interaction elements, stitching and applying them to textiles, to offer a fun introduction to this technology
This workshop has been selected to participate in the project #Caseando that is a travelling project launched by VIC (vivero de iniciativas ciudadanas – citizen initiative nursery). This project, launched by the nursery of citizen initiatives, promoting this type of practical workshops, aims to reflect the citizens on the possibilities offered by self-construction and open technologies.#Caseando is a travelling project launched by VIC (vivero de iniciativas ciudadanas – citizen initiative nursery). It is an open, collaborative platform which is meant to promote and support citizen initiative propositions. #Caseando seeks to consider the possibilities held out by self-build and open technologies, by means of a prototype home with self-produced citizen devices. The workshop was held at Hirikilabs (a citizen laboratory of digital culture and technology) of Tabakalera International Center of Contemporary Culture of the Basque Country.
